I installed v. 1.6 beta. But I have the following problems:

a) When I go to

for copy the last updates, I messed the whole installation. F.ex. the file index.php is listed to have 9.2 kb (similar like in 1.6 beta), but when I overcopy the link into the forum folder, everything is messed, not more shown the forum but just that trunk index page.

Are there anywhere the develop files on an ftp server, so that, with konqueror, one just can copy the whole /trunk folder with everything inside in one's own computer ???? Why you dont make after every committ a .tar.gz file of the whole state, like other projects do, so that people can download any timethe most actual version ?

b) After installing everything again, occured the following problem:

/ Where is a link in the forum main page, to go to the portal ?

/ Where in the admin center, I can activate and edit the top menu bar (i.e. that what's in this forum is: home , about , features , downloads ...) ??

c) By german law, one need to have at the bottom an 'impressum', that means a link when clicking it gives the responsavel person for theforum, his adress, and e-mail. Such an item should exist in the bottom link bar, i.e. in this forum between: ContcatUs , MyBB , ReturnToTop ...

These things should be improved urgently

I use to have a localhost but recently reformatted my computer. When I reinstalled xammp for development of php scripts I decided to give mybb 1.6 beta a try. Now I am having trouble logging in, which I never had before on any script on my localhost. I am assuming that this is some sort of cookie problem. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

I'm still in the process of skinning MyBB 1.x. I'm having some trouble locating the templates to customize the specifics described below:

1. Customizing the rules bit that appears above the threadlist on forumdisplay.php when you set forum-specific rules. I've only found template misc_rules_forum but that doesn't seem to effect the forum-specific rules. I've attached an image of the rules bit that I'm discussing.
   
2. Customizing the announcements page. Template Ungrouped -> announcement has a variable named {announcement} which I cannot figure out how to edit the contents of. The Ungrouped -> announcement template doesn't seem to contain the entire postbit that is present on my announcements page.

Hi,

I'm trying to create a new skin. I've created a new theme and a new template set.

I want to use different images for the forum icons (off.gif, on.gif etc.)
I upload the images they have the same name but .png extension. I correct the image file names in the index template so they are like this:

<img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/on.png"

I've created a new theme based on the master style.

In the #container I tried to set the width to 90%, then I saved it.

When I try to reset the style the width goes back to default but all the texts are aligned centered.

I understand that odd-numbered versions are "development" or "private" versions and that even-numbered ones are the public releases. Accordingly, the 1.6 beta is numbered 1.5.

However, it seems that every plugin that advertises "1.6 compatibility" checks for "16*" in the version string; because the version is actually "1501", these checks fail and I have to hack the plugin to check for "15*". No such plugin seems to check for "15*"... is this an oversight or was this done deliberately to dissuade (non-technical) users from installing plugins on the beta release? Will this be done for the 1.8.0 public beta (if there is one)?

(This is not technically a live forum... I plan to make it live eventually but I assume Gold will be released before I can do so)

In the system health checker, when I tried to convert all databases to UTF-8, it gives the following error at the bottom of the page. Attached image is the error.

Hello everybody, i have problem with ,,Who is online" at forum index. Already i don't have any seperator (comma), anybody know how to fix that?
