www.******.com/sitemap-index.xml

=

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

www.****.com/robots.txt

=

404 Error.

Now, when I view the robots.example.txt from the SEO plugin, I see I have to edit a lot... But what exactly do I need to edit? I also don't have a sitemap so I have no idea what to do next.

Edit: I have uploaded the robots.txt file and get the following:

Sitemap: http://**********/sitemap-index.xml

User-Agent: *
Disallow: /captcha.php
Disallow: /editpost.php
Disallow: /misc.php
Disallow: /modcp.php
Disallow: /moderation.php

Disallow: /*action=emailuser*

Disallow: /*action=nextnewest*
Disallow: /*action=nextoldest*
Disallow: /*sort=*
Disallow: /*order=*
Disallow: /*mode=*

However, when I go to sitemap, I still get the same error:

"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

This user has been denied support. This user has been denied support.
It's not an error. Sitemap standard and Google don't need any style in the sitemap so there isn't any. It's not supposed to be seen or browsed by regular users either.

I see.

So everything is fine from what you can see now? The robots.txt file too? Anyways, I never uploaded the robots.txt file before. Do you think I will get higher in google searched now?
