if you upload mybb to rcbashing.org
use that url
but if you upload mybb to rcbashing.org/forum
use that .. once you upload the mybb suite you will know which url to use

@OP, public_html folder at web server represents the root folder for you to use.
if your index.php of myBB installation is at public_html then it should be rcbashing.org

so if I made a directory or folder called public_html under the root that would automatically redirect to the root ?

upload mybb to the folder of your choice (you will need ftp access to do this) then run folder/install/index.php which could be www.yoursite/forum/install/index.php

have you uploaded the software to that folder yet ? you must do it via ftp
