could you remember what the net was like before Facebook?
for me personally Facebook has not impacted my life that much
i was never a big fan of social networks of that kind
but getting involved in website development i could appreciate
Facebook is a well crafted product.

Yes lame chat rooms I do recall plus IRC, MSN/ICQ/Yahoo! I'm not really into social networking but I do use FB now and Twitter. I prefer forum based networking, but I think that's because of when I joined the web!

Sounds like we had a similar upbringing. I too remember BBS's and the awesome-ness of a local BBS scene.
I remember playing on Miniclip using Dial-Up in 2003, that's before Facebook.

I'd just started playing on the PC
I miss the dialup tone too but obviously not the connection...but yeah..there was something about that dialing noise that was pretty cool!
I remember a bit, but not too much. IRC was my main hangout really - just because it was perfect on a dial up line.
