Iam going to found a new community. At the index page there will be news.
News can be written in different categories (Games, Music, Sport...). And thos News are shown in a "News Forum".
Is that possible with MyBB? Causae I have to choose one free comunity software.

There are quite a few bots that post new threads to Twitter and such. They crawl threads, so views go up.
I had a closer look at the portal. All News are linked to "Old Announcements". Is it possible to create categories for different Toppics (music, sports..) and put them into special sub-forums?
2 - Can I mix my own navigation-buttons with the portal-navigation boxes?
3- And, if I have the header at the top, left my navi, right the sidebar, can I put the forum in the middle? like:
