For dutch speaking people:

Can give you a good insight how to set it up to.
Hmm, you mean how to present or prepare the privacy policy?

More the way to .. i guess just provide information.
Not literally in the way how it needs to be layed out just in the sense of what lines of text etc to use for dutch people more then anyone though. Not sure how this would translate to english could look rather funny so.
You could always use http://translate.google.com

It does translate nicely.
FYI; while I'm not 100% which method MyBB should be taking here, take a look at http://bbc.co.uk/news - I think that's the best format I've seen so far.

They are placing cookies regardless of the users decision to enable them though. Once that banner is displayed once, it does not come back even if you don't click Continue.
Because it says "If you continue without changing your settings, we'll assume that you are happy to receive all cookies on the BBC website." Sounds simple enough to me.
I assume I would also need to show a notice to guest now and linking to privacy policy?

Hmm, this whole thing is just not so very accommodating or grateful.

Honestly i find it risky to do it that way. I think it would be better to disable them for guest unless they accept them (with such a banner). And for the members its simply a change to the registration message. And add infromation or a link to a new policy document in there.

Think that would require less work and work just as well.
Without cookies though the board has no way of knowing which threads a guest has viewed so if it's a lurker it could be annoying for them.
