Well, at least it's not as bad as this one:

Anyhow, I've made a few changes.

Default VBulletin 3.8 - what can you expect. Even the mybb default gives that ugly puppy a run for it's money. It has active posting members though - they must have some good content. Toungue
I know right. Anyhow, let us not turn into judgmental mode.
I agree - but it is interesting to see how things evolve.

Most of these huge sites we see that are really NOT good looking are older sites with a long established userbase, and do not need to go the extra mile that a new start up does nowadays - especially if they are in a crowded market. Though they should, as it is a bit sad that a site about design is so frankly ugly.

PS In case it was not clear - I meant the VB site you linked to - not YOUR site.

Yeah I agree, I know, you meant that other site.

That website was made around 2000, that look is expected and obvious that it's not up to today's standards. Their website is pleasing, not intuitive style wise, maybe back in 2000 they were though.

It's still bad. :p

Sorry but it's not as bad. Considering you're saying it's bad on today's standards, yes but it at least is a consistent design. As bad as it is, their colors mesh up well, and they have no distracting graphics- they focus on their content. Obviously as I said back then their design was a clean, modern design.

Your websites design compared to them, I'd pick them as outdated as it is. I really was avoiding because 'if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all' but you really can't talk about that website being bad when at least their design is coherent and relative to the time is was made.

It was a joke, I understand that they had a good design back in their day.
