Could we have a contact form instead of a simpl mail to: link as this leave our email open to spammer as this is the kind of link spammers look for. Since using mybb I have been swamped with spam email.
It should definitely be implemented at some point. However it's not going to be in the 1.8.0 release simply because we're already adding too many things. At this rate we're never going to release 1.8.
I would definitely want this for 2.0 at least. This thing is better suited as core rather than using plugin.

Having said that, Id rather see something like this being implemented if it meant waiting a little longer for 1.8. Something like this actually is quite important.
I would not be disappointed to have to wait another month to put something useful like this.
The current contact us link leaves forum owners wide open to spammers. Im actually surprised this hasn't been sorted a long time ago.
