Which URL is good long or short
Seo Url : mysite.com/thread-make-money-online
MyBB Friendly Url : mysite.com/thread-2349.html

Which one is good for Google and other Search Engines
>mysite.com/thread-make-money-online
>mysite.com/thread-2349.html

- first one is much, much better, both for humans and SEO; but it has a small problem when title is edited.
- second one is good for machines
@thebobo mysite.com/thread-make-money-online if i edit title then what problem will be.?
It honestly doesn't matter that much these days -- you can use either and still rank high (the same) on Google and most popular search engines. Just make a sitemap and continue adding quality content.
I have google seo sitemap and already submitted
Use what is better for users (it's Google suggestion).

If you change title and leave old url, it will look strange to users.
If url is also changed (like with Google SEO), any SEO 'juice' gained by old url won't be there, also if anyone made a link with old url, it will stop working.

(The solution is in adding some identifier, some might see that part of url ugly, e.g. thread-2349-make-money-online).
I don't think there is a plugin than can do it better than Google SEO.
With Google SEO, if you rename a thread, the URL changes and the old URL will be redirected.
So, all of you which is highly recommended and good at all finally, i will use
Ah, yes, it keeps that info, so, it's not too bad Smile Sorry for mistake!

Other options that look less ugly - 'id' at end of url:
thread-make-money-online-2349
or, using a bit shorter id part by converting it to base-36 system which uses numbers and letters.
thread-make-money-online-bxy
The first option is MUCH better SEO-wise.
