I noticed that when I do a search in large forum the load on the server reach the roof and the forum stop responding !!
any idea about solving such problem ??

It mite be thye MySQL server timing out due to the querys etc. But I'm not sure how to stop this from happening.
How big is the forum we're talking about here?
Have you made any optomisations to the database such as adding indexes?
The MyBB search script is fairly basic and i'm not sure about the performance on really large forums with lots of results - in the future we plan to restructure it to perform better and more accurate..

the forum contain about 46925 posts and 8452 threads
I did DB Maintenance from the control panel if that what you mean ??
I hope there is a solution for that because now the search is disabled in my forum
