Well, after I'd some bots ruining my forum by making like 2500 posts each day until it crashed (because I was having an open guest forum that any visitor could write in.. didn't think it could be abused, especially when I was away for a few months), I still get lots of visits.
Each day I get around 1gb in traffic! And it's from visitors I believe. I went to the forum just a few minutes ago, and it said it been 45 visitors the last 15 minutes.
How can I detect what these bots/visitors are trying to do on my forum? Can anybody check if there's any leak or something? I did delete the forum that was open. How do I track those bots? is it able to make them stop visit my forum?
I do have like 2000gb traffic available each month, so it's no big deal if I get some constant visitors, but still I feel I would just want true visitors and not bots, and I believe the forum anyway slowing down somehow when bots comes.
Anybody got tips?

Alright, I added that into the htaccess file for over 30 minutes ago.
I went into the forum now and checked, but, it says I've had 64 visitors the past 15 minutes, so I don't think it worked any good.
Now 10 hours later, I see it still is problem... 70 visitors the past 15 minutes :O
Check your site/server access logs to see if there is a common IP range that you could block.
Attaching Cloudflare to your site , would be a good start.

Just want to clarify that you probably mean:
"It sure cut your malicious/bad traffic down"
When you have alot of visits or traffic, you need to find your apache access log, or any other detailed statistics which telling oyu more details about the visitors.
In my case i found there is like 10 IPs or IP ranges that visited my tiny forum many thousand thimes, these vere clearly some spam bots etc, so i blocked these IPs from within my .htaccess (google it)

Cloudflare is a CDN and Reverse Proxy service. Your site's traffic is routed through their DNS servers first. This has a twofold effect. Firstly, their CDN service automatically caches static content (images, unchanged html pages) and serves if from their servers reducing your bandwidth dramatically. Secondly, they have algorithms in place and systems that detect bots, spammers, and traffic with malformed requests. This helps reduce the number of fake visitors hitting your site, and improves the connection by legitimate visitors.
Still have this problem.
I've asked my webhost provider (Binero.se) for help, but they can't do nothing about it they say, themselves don't know solution for this.
However they noticed me about their awstats, so I have enabled it for my websites and can see how much visits I get on my website, how much space it draws and all kind of stats.
Still I don't know what to do with all these information!
You can use the data in AWstats to see which ips are accessing your website, how long their visits are, and more.
