Please how to Choose/create another empty forum for the redirect

Thank you Huh
Admin CP -> Forums & Posts -> Add New Forum
Thank you very much for your reply. This is what I am trying to do? Any idea how this was done? If so, can you please advise on steps to get to this. I like that one click opens that page .

Please go to: http://www.vahuntingforum.com/ Please click on: "FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES" it will open the page in one click. It shows a redirect. I have been going crazy trying to figure out how it was done.

Thank you for your help and time.
When you are adding the new forum, there will be a small link for "Show additional options." Click that to expand the additional options form, and simply copy/paste the link into the "forum link" field.
Admin CP -> Forums & Posts -> Add New Forum is the way to do that.

After making your post, grab it's link. Then go to that destination Destroyer666 gave. Hit the "Show Additional Options" link when adding the new forum. Once there look for the "Forum Link" option. If you put a URL in that textbox it will automatically make that forum a redirect forum link.

Edit:

Darth Apple beat me to it.
Hey thank you very much!!!! I understand what you are detailing. I did that and when I enter the URL in that link box as described I get an error message is saying that the forum you are trying to redirect has some threads.

So what am I doing wrong: Sad

P.S I asked the guys at the site:  http://www.vahuntingforum.com/  how they did it and they responded they did not, they got help from this community forum. Smile
Hmmm... My first assumption would be that you are setting it to redirect to a forum itself. You don't want to do that. You need to have the URL for the thread.

What is the URL you are trying to use?
You can't redirect a URL with some threads. Move that threads to somewhere else and assigned them to another forum then try redirecting it.
Hey thanks, I make a Category (FAQ - Info), then I make the forum (FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES) and of course in that forum I make the post, the post is my "Forum Rules". So what I do is home page, click on "FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES" and then opens to click on my post "RULES AND GUIDELINES" which open that post.

In the link box you are describing I am trying to add the link to that post so when you click on "FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES" it will directly open my post. I have tried all links and still get error message. I want to click on "FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES" and it redirect directly to post.

It works on this Forum exactly how I am trying to do. There URL is the same as the post they redirected to opens. Check out there site, http://www.vahuntingforum.com/ click on there "FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES " and you will see that it redirect you directly to there "RULES AND GUIDELINES" This is what I am trying to do.

This is my forum: http://www.candhautoaccessories.com/fourms/ click on my "FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES " and you will se the difference on the two sites how there's open and then how mine opens..

Thanks again for your time and help!!!!!

I know that aroshkhan, thank you. I did that and it works. But if you read the title it shows it is being redirected from another forum. The site I provided reads it is coming from itself, does not read from another forum. I really want to figure this out, been working on it.

Thank you!!!!!!
Are you using this URL in the redirect?
