Is it a case of overwriting the original install files or should the plugin be deactivated first?
Will it lose any of the existing game results etc. ?

I guess you should be able to replace the file inc/plugins/myarcade.php or modify the file accordingly to the Pauls fix at github: https://github.com/PaulBender/My-Arcade/...bec993b1ae

Thanks - replaced the myarcade.php and all seems fine.
Managed to delete the 'test' user.

P.S. Even though this plugin is in Beta stages, I think its a top class feature
