On the upgrade, using the "changed files" upgrade , do I just upload the contents of the "upload" package and tell FireFTP to "replace" files when it finds the dups from version 1.8?

OK thanks. Let me ask a dumb question, could I just wait for more of a "major" upgrade in the future, where the forum would upgrade itself by means of a plugin or something? Just so afraid of messing things up.
^ IIRC, at present no plugin exists for upgrading MyBB forum version 1.8.0
moreover manual upgrading of forum version is preferred over automated methods
