Doesn't work unfortunately.

If my forum is located under: website/forum

the rootpath should be  /images/dvz_shoutbox.mp3  /forum/images/dvz_shoutbox.mp3   or not? However if i change to /forum/images/dvz_shoutbox.mp3 and post a message, there is like 3-10sec delay before its posted and no sound though.

if your forum is located :
website/forum
then your forum rootpath is
website/forum not /images .

I tried like this, but it didn't work.

Not working for me either, tried different path, and direct link (full http://www.myforum/images/sound.mp3)
can't get it to work ;(
