I feel the options for forums posting is very limited if you don't have XThreads. You can make applications with it, ban appeals, and other amazing fill outs. What im currently doing now is making people copy and paste a format then they put there information after the ":" Ex:
(The copy and pasted format) What do you like to do: (There information)
Also sometimes people just put fake answers like Ex: Gender: Neither LOLOLOL, while in XThreads you can make it so that there's only options for Male and Female. I can go forever about every function. Also the reason why I can't use the  XThreads is because the theme im using doesn't work with each other without extra work, which I got no feed back on how to do.
Well, I don't think there is a real need to integrate the whole plugin. Some of the provided features are maybe useful and not planned yet, but if you find a concrete feature you should suggest that feature instead and not to integrate a whole plugin. Just by looking at the plugin description and the examples doesn't give me the idea how much the plugin really can.
I agree with this suggestion, this should be incorporated into any future version of MyBB as a standard feature.
Ok so this is an example of one of the application format for my community https://gyazo.com/7f3ae0db98ffb4c4994b54ac14d66756
As you can see many options as to pick which way they can answer.
From either restricting what they can pick, what they can answer freely, what they can pick as multiples answers but also restricted and restricting number values they can put in.
However what im currently doing is having people Copy https://gyazo.com/0a8565243698b4117782d70123c32da0
and pasting it in into a new thread, then putting the information.
This will help themes that don't support XThreads, and its just an upgrade as a whole. MYBB is used for a forums, a forums that can range to many topics. Wouldn't be fantastic if the users posing didn't have to copy and paste things and wouldn't it be fantastic if admins can easily see there information correctly.(Like m example of "Gender: IM BOTH XD LOLOL" where instead there only options Male and Female. I feel as forum it has the least options of posting. The only thing that ive noticed it similes, signatures, attachments and a blank box. Its just better for everyone.
While I do like the idea, I just don't see this as a needed core feature for the MyBB software. I think that it's best to leave it as a plugin so other administrators can choose to add that feature to their board. Including an entire plugin can bloat the software, especially if its only going to be used by a small handful of board administrators while the rest of the board administrators using the MyBB software may not use the feature at all.
at Vashnik : these two forums would not exist in that style without XThreads (and template conditionals)

I agree that not every board owner is looking for that level of customisation, but it is very nice as a CORE option, rather than depending on a plugin. It certainly makes MyBB a very powerful solution compared even to the paid softwares.
I'd definitely like to see two features - template prefixes for specific forums and more or less basic thread fields with several input types. which could also replace thread prefixes and post icons. Twig is already implemented and much more powerful than Template Conditionals.

Yes, these two are key features and I'd like to see them in MyBB 2.0 as core feature. I don't think anything else is needed of XThreads as a core feature.
I think I will stay forever on MyBB 1.8 if Xthreads and Template Conditionals will not be at least compatible with MyBB 2.0.

With xthreads and Template Conditionals you can really customize your forum as you wish but I understand that maybe they are very extensive plugins and many admins don't know how use them, so it would be better to continue with plugins.

Or can you do as the frameworks Bootstrap and Foundation? You can decide which functions and features to download and install and which not. So every user will choose what plugin or feature use or not:

http://getbootstrap.com/customize/
http://foundation.zurb.com/develop/downl...Foundation
not better as plugin?
this type of feature does not affect security?
