Full Version: CPU or RAM // Which is more important?

My forum has been growing pretty fast, if things keep up the way they are going we might outgrow our current system.

So when the time comes I would like to be prepared. Which is more important for mybb: The CPU or Memory?
RAM. MySQL gets cached in RAM.
If you go for shared hosting then you wont get a better performance for big forums. As stated by Ben Cousins they does matter but not over shared hosting.

You should better be buying dedicated server or vps .

The OPĀ is asking about CPU and RAM. The assumption is therefore that, given what information is required, those are the solutions being looked at.
