Really great plugin, adding this private notice in a drop down/modal can show latest private messages without occupying space and making it look cool.

I'd imagine alerts would need to be sent when the PM itself is sent, this is literally just a notice to replace the default one.

I'll add in a link to reply but am keen to keep this as lightweight as possible, rather than starting to replicate too much of the whole PM system.

Maybe you can use an icon for reply instead of text. Just an idea

Can change the link, but not sure if there's enough room for an avatar? It's make the cells too high and it'd take up too much room.
