I am in the same boat. I have an older version of 1.8.* but dont want to update due to hearing horror stories of breaking the forum. I have a ton of core edits, a ton of plugins installed, a lot of customization and to reset that would be a nightmare after tweaking it for the past 6 months.

I could care less about bugs, in fact i havent ran into any in the past 6 months that i know of. But i do care about security updates.
