I have tried several Facebook share options. They all connect to FB fine, but the content of the item being shared isn't shown.
You can see what shows up on FB by going to my timeline:

The first share is from a site that works: allthingsbahai.net
The second one has a blank box where the content should be. It came from forum.allthingsbahai.net
I'm stumped.
Which plugn or tool are you using for facebook share implementation ?

I'm using this for FB registration and login, and it's working flawlessly:

All three of the sharing methods show exactly the same behavior. The share to FB popup comes up, there's no content from the webpage in it except for a verbal link, the share is made to FB, but the box that should show the content is empty.
I've discovered that the "box" on FB is an image box. If the post being shared doesn't have an image, the box is empty. When the post has an image, the box has the image. So I'm calling this solved.
How do we set it up so that when we share the home page link, there is an image in the box (see attached image)? I'm assuming we just need to link to an og image in the index page's code, but I know very little about og and how to go about setting this up.
Any help is appreciated.
When making a post, there is an "image" button in the row of buttons at the top of the editor. Click that, and it will ask you for the url of the image. Adding an image as an attachment doesn't work.

On Facebook? I'm talking about the image missing in Facebook posts. If I post on Facebook and include my site's home page URL, there is a blank spot where an image should be in the post (see attached image in my original post).
For that you need to add meta property ie meta property="og:image"
