for some reason, I'm only getting 2 question marks for every user who has a post...I placed the 2 pieces of code where you recommended and activated the plugin...also, where are the admincp stats found?

That's normal, this plugin works only for the posts added AFTER you activated this plugin.

ok, now I see that.....is there a way to do a recount and have it show up for all old posts?

I don't think there is a way for that, becuase the user agent data wasn't saved before you installed this plugin!

found a bug in the 1.4 version

1. typo in showing a "os or explorer" in the admincp
2. when using windows vista if u make a post in ie it shows from windows xp not vista
