Greetings all! With the web standards speeding past us, it's time to get caught up. We're in the process of rolling out changes across our site to let us go responsive, as well as make the UX a little more intuitive and fun. In this post I'm going to cover some mockups we've created, as well as where all the work is happening and where we plan to take the site.

We're looking for any and all feedback relating to the designs, and if you think you have the chops to create modular, semantic and SEO friendly code then feel free to help us out! (More specifically, we use Liquid templates, Sass for stylesheets and BEM for our component naming structure)

This is just the beginning, it will involve a lot more than just design. We're setting our sights on a proper demo site next. Now is the time to hop aboard if you'd like to help us propel MyBB into the future!

+1 - slider would be really nice!
Actually not a bad idea, I'll quiz the designers on this.

Looks nice Smile
Nice new look, but this is not right time to do this. First - roll out the script upgrade and dont touch web UI (not UX) till script upgrade is completed.

That's what has been happening, the site was awaiting MyBB 2.0. Meanwhile we're missing out on valuable users and SEO. There's no reason to delay the site. Smile
Looks fantastic!
Looks nice eric,

What ever happened to the MyBB guy the mascot?

just from a branding point of view it seems like some things disappeared and the history of MyBB has gone with some of the branding.

It is good to see the mock ups they do look good and apart from devs who seems to be a bit lost in the wilderness as to the big discussions and the things that are trying to be done i agree that the site does need an overhaul to bring it back into a modern scheme.

This does look nice and keeps the over style of MyBB.

The one issue is ensuring the forums fit into the responsive design so all aspects of the site meet things and not just the front page.

good work i hope we see it come from a mock up to reality soon
