I've had the same problem. The email sent to users is an message error, translating part of link.
Example:
The email message shows:

When actually should to show:
http ://forum.bufalo.info/member.php?action=resetpassword
How you can to see, the word "password" is translated for portuguese language. So, if I change the email text, the issue will be solved.

How I do it?
Check related language strings in
messages.lang.php (by opening the file directly or using the ACP) - it's possible that the URLs were mistakenly modified by the language pack provider.
