I want the posts from a newbie to get moderated first. If the posters post's then it won't be visible in the forum until a moderator or admin has approved it. How can I do it?

you can try using Required Approvals plugin coded for an older version of MyBB

moderation can be set for a group.
for the registered members group you can set moderation for all posts they make
forum admin panel >> users & groups >> groups >> registered >> Forums and Posts (tab) --> Moderation Options
you can create a new user group as confirmed members
& move registered members group to that confirmed group based on some criteria
group promotions [eg.] can be used to move members from one group to another

What exactly does these four options do? For checking purposes. I created a new account and posted. But the admin panel is still saying '0' things to moderate.
