What does this do? I installed this and don't see anything different in the forum list.

Oh, the plugin doesn't add the variable by itself, I forgot. Plese check the faqs section in the official site for an answer.

Ok, but why are you forcing us to go to your website for the answer?

Since you are providing the download link of the plugin in MyBB extend, why not provide the answers and support in MyBB Plugin Releases or Plugin Support pages?

I'm not forcing you to do anything whatsoever. You are free not to use this at all and I won't care a bit (more or less, at least).

Hi, I updated the plugin to version 1.8.20.

Message now parses attachments inserted within posts.

How can I decrease the amount of text from the post to display?

This plugin is designed to display the full message (even attachments), if you want to display a short preview you could try the following plugin:

(This plugin stores the preview for all threads, unparsed. Quite opposite to this plugin's approach.)

That one only seems to display it upon hover, whereas I'd like it to actually show always without need for hover like your plugin does. Is there absolutely no option to simply decrease the amount of characters for example of a post this plugin can showcase before being hit with the "..." dots for example?
