If you create a subdoamain in Cpanel then it should create a folder in your root folder of where you store your website files to, usually the root folder is called public_html or wwwroot or something similar.
So if you subdomain is this: http://forum.website.com then you should find a folder called forum in your public_html folder, that is where you upload all your MyBB forum files too.

If you can't reach your sub-domain immediately after creating it, you may need to wait a few hours for your sub-domain to propogate throughout the internet. Other than that, it's as easy as putting in your desired subdomain on cpanel
