I have install the shout box but it is not showing at all here my site link http://gecommunity.liway.com/
The file shoutbox.php doesn't seem to exist in your boards root directory. Make sure you upload the root shoutbox.php and the plugin file.

As for the link, since you're using quite a customised theme, it's possible that the plugin couldn't find the code it was expecting in the templates to add the shoutbox link. You may therefore have to add the link manually.

Do you have any other themes installed on your board (such as the MyBB Default) that you could temporarily switch to for a moment to see if the shoutbox link was successfully added to any other themes?
I install the shoutbox.php in the root and i check it on the default theme and still notthing is show?

You tried enabling it? Or doing a modification to the code? I've never used this mod, but it sounds like you may need to edit a template to put it in. Check your readme file.
Hi, my shoutbox isn't showing as well. There are 2 problems with it:

1) There is a link to the shoutbox in the upper right corner, but I would like it to appear on the screen itself. Is that normal, and is there anything I can do about it ?
2) Clicking on the link doesn't work: the shoutbox doesn't appear. Any solutions ?

Thanks !
The shoutbox pops up fine for me. Maybe try reloading/refreshing your cache.

And as for having it on the screen itself, you'll need to do it via a IFrame. Either this site or the main forums should have a tutorial on it.
Yeah, now it does work, didn't work in the beginning...

Concerning the iFrame: I found the code for an iFrame, but any idea on which page (index.php ?) and where exactly I have to put it ? I tried the index.php a few times, but I get errors all along.
I believe I've found out why the shoutbox wasn't popping up before. It looks as though once you've activated the plugin you need to rebuild your forum settings so as the new shoutbox settings are found and used. I'll see if I can get the plugin to do this automatically on activation in the next update.

As for adding the shoutbox to the forum index page, Sye posted some great instructions on how to do this over on the community forums. This is the link to the thread: http://community.mybboard.net/showthread.php?tid=14561. Smile
