Today I upgraded my board to 1.4. Everything seemed to go fine for the most part. My theme is there. My changes are there.

When I actually go into a thread, however, all the formatting is gone.

My posts used to have a gray background that alternated and the formatting was classic. Any idea how to correct this or which php to edit to hopefully get it back in tip top shape?

And because the theme is now default it's all 1.4 default, and you should make sure all your templates are default too.

I'm not sure it is an issue of forcing the postbit style on everyone. Part of the table format seems to be missing.

What exactly is missing?? Looks fine to me. But, like I said, make sure all of your templates are default. I can see it isn't default now as the username, usertitle and avatar are doubled.

Doubled? Hmm. I don't see that.

Essentially, if you look at the main page, you'll see the alternating grays. Posts were previously surrounded by borders (much as they are here) and were the alternating grays.

Mine was classic instead of modern. I suppose what I've lost is the table borders and the background colors. The text is now below but that might be the issue you previously covered.

As for the borders bit, you sure the theme was updated for 1.4 properly??

No, but at least the format looks right to me! I also just noticed our WYSIWYG is gone.
I'm not sure if the theme was honestly. I designed it over time by just making changes to the site. A little here, a little there and we got it how we liked it.

Well that can't look different for different people because it uses the same template. Are you viewing the same theme??

And the WYSIWYG editor would obviously go if you went from 1.2 to 1.4 because you deleted all the files....

Edit: Make sure your theme is based around 1.4.x. Using a theme created on 1.2.x will cause problems with 1.4.x. But I don't see that at all so I'm not sure we're viewing the same theme.

I've forced everyone to use the same theme. Or I thought I did. I'm not certain. Let me try something and then get more information.

Make sure as well as forcing it you set it as default by clicking the little green arrow next to the theme and make it go to a green box.
