After my forums had been attacked earlier this week I have tried to restore them. But when I goto the forum sites I get this error.
mySQL error: 1045
Access denied for user: 'xxxxxxxx_xxxxx@xxxxxxxxx' (Using password: YES)

Where can I fix this in the database for the forums? I did change my passwords in the phpadmin to try and thwart further attacks. Thanks for your guys help. Others have asked I try and not throw the towel in and get my forums back again so I am going to try it again.
Anyhow, any help is greatly appreciated.

You can edit your DB info at inc/config.php
That kind of worked can get back in the admin and view forums but there is a new problem now. When I get to the forums it says login. It already recognizes me but asks me to login. Than when I do it shows me as still being logged out.

Have you tried with different browsers? You may also want to clear your cache, temporary internet files and cookies.
There may also be a problem with your cookie settings/path in the AdminCP. Be sure that the path is correct in the Settings, as this may be the problem.
well it remembers and lets me into the admin panel. Likewise I can go into my user cp. But won't let me in the main forums unless I view forums from admin. Weird.
says I have successfully logged in I will be taken back to where I came from which is the main site. Besides that after I cleared all content and the cookies too.
Working now. I think.

After logging in, try to go to your forums with
http://www. before the domain and see if that works. If it doesn't, try just http:// before your domain. This may be the cookie issue.
Well I went in specified the paths, now its reversed itself. It won't let me log out...LOL!
I left the cookie domain at writer.sebar.com and left the trailing slash by itself for the path for cookies.
So slowly it is getting closer. I am almost affraid to see how bad the rcthq will be trying to restablish that one!

I suppose not being able to logout is better than not being able to login
! You may want to check with your host and see if your cookie settings are correct. If they are, I would again suggest it may be your browser or computer files that are making this problem.
