Okay I made a backup 10 days ago, now how the **** do i use it!

Pardon my french Toungue
You need to go into phpMyAdmin, which will be in your host's control panel somewhere, drop the current tables in your database, if there are any, make sure you don't need them first, and import the backup from the Import tab.
What would the file directory be? (to get to phpmyadmin)
What control panel do you use for your host? If any? Sometimes it is just yourhost.com/phpmyadmin.
Cpanel 11 or something like that, I think it's the latest version of cpanel
Right ok if you login to your cpanel (yourforum.com/cpanel or yourforum.com:2082) then find the phpmyadmin link and click it Smile
is it possible to keep all of the registrations after this backup was made?
You'd probably need to make another backup of your current database.... why do you need to restore this backup??
Well, one of my admins had a very unsecure password

Well is there anyway to revert all the posts he deleted? Sad

Or how would i go about keeping all the members that registered.

This is awfully hard
Usually when backups are needed, everything is in the backup, isn't very often some of it is still in the database, it isn't quite as easy to restore, just a bit more fiddly... what data was lost?? Just posts/threads??
