First of all, sorry if it is in the wrong forums. I didn't know where else to put this.

What is MyPortal?
It is a PHP script that uses MyBB as a posting platform.

You post your information. In a topic designated as a specific forum to hold your content. And this will on its own then magically appear on the front page and downloads list / articles list.

You will have to tweak some forum's settings that for example only administrators can make a thread in "News & Updates" for example. Because these topics show up on the front page. (Security Measures)

My website is running a live example on {redacted}

You can simply download the php script from here {redacted}
If you know some php then editing the configuration and settings files are easy.

If you find any bugs, or wish to make your own more advanced adaption of this script then you may.

I would be happy to also see people use it.

And easily customizable...
Just note to put your forum not in your root but in a folder like site.com/forum/ or something similar.

Blaxus, can you highlight the differences between Project 3 and the default portal?

Define "Default Portal"

But project 3 has this:

- News on Frontpage
- Articles List
- Downloads List
- Videos List
- Contact Page (make a topic and give its ID)

And at the hand of these pages you can modify a few names to make it look like something else... tutorials, scripts or anything like that.

I never used it.
But basically Project 3 is pretty much a custom small script.

It uses MyBB as a tool to get information on your main website.
It is nothing more, nothing less.

Currently it only redirects you.
But i have plans on adding more functionality.
