This may sound strange but when a few users try to log into the forums after they enter username/password they get a blank white screen instead of being logged in..... I tried going in as one of these people and it happened to me as well yet when I log in as myself it comes up no problem.
Any suggestions?

yes I merged data from my smf forum that I've been using up til now
Can you re-download the Merge System, find the loginconvert.php plugin in it, and upload that over your current version of the plugin??

You only need to replace the loginconvert.php plugin 
I did that but it's still doing the same thing I noticed it says it is for smf 1.8 to mybb 1.4.05 would that be a prob?
Where does it say that?? You are looking at the file in the root of the ./convert/ folder yeah??
