It's been three days since I put in a request in this thread:

http://community.mybb.com/thread-70464.html

Just looking for an update Smile
Beats me why a hacker would ever need support. "People proficient at using or programming a computer, technical-savvy person, proficient in technical equipment of any kind" If half of that depiction as you gave it in your thread is true, you are more capable than 99.9% of the populace around here. You should give support not receive it...
inb4lock.

It's a touchy area. Technically labrocca's forum is "white hat", it's hosted in the US. There's still questionable material, though.

this. Hackers should know everything about what they use so they don't need support.

Thats bull. No one is the greatest, everyone needs support at some point. I know people who can manage a server, write unix code like no other, but can't for the life of them figure out php or even CSS! Just because he can secure his box well doesn't mean he can fix MyBB when it breaks.
I was reading http://community.mybb.com/thread-35026.html and it clearly states:

Quote:Forums containing hacking, pornography or any other illegal content will not be supported.

Failure to abide by these support rules may result in:

* No support being given for such questions
* Your thread being deleted (extreme cases) and you being notified through the use of a PM
* Your thread being directly moved (with no redirect) to the appropriate forum
imo it's best to simply group hacking under one roof. There's realistically nothing to stop you from turning into a malicious hacking clan the next day and MyBB really doesn't have the time to look through your site if it already exists.

You seem to neglect the fact that technically every single person on the support team is, by definition, a hacker. They know coding, they build and manage web software, they are technical savvy when it comes to this. Grouping "hackers" under one rough is, as I stated before, a stereotype, and I'm sorry, but I'm no criminal. I take that offensively. My site is COMPLETELY white hat, there is NO questionable material on it. For one, it's new, so there isn't much on it anyways, for two, my rules state very clearly that no malicious material will EVER be posted EXCEPT from the WHITE HAT point of view, in which case, there will be clear instructions on how to prevent, disinfect, etc. etc., as it should be stated. You can't keep black hat material from White Hates, or else how are they supposed to know what to protect against or to know what to do in case of pending attacks? You can't secure your box against an XSS attack if you have no idea of what kind of XSS attacks there are and how they work. Therefore I allow blackhat material to be posted ONLY under the VERY STRICT guidelines that all posts containing black hat material MUST (ABSOLUTELY MUST!!!) also contain very extensive white hat material to prevent and fix anything that could have the possiblity of coming from such a black hat attack.

My site also offers support, and this black hat material coupled with white hat support information acts and will always act as a database to solve these issues and problems. The site is obviously new, so i'm having trouble offering that support at the moment other than myself and a couple of other members who haven't been very active lately. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my site, other than the fact that it's simply there to help people and promote a positive name for the hackers rather than a negative one. I'm sick of the stereotypes, because 90% of you people have no freaking clue what a hacker is, and you just "group them all under the same roof". That's wrong, it's dead wrong, and it's flat out offensive.

I'll say it again, everyone here that every comes to this site asking for support is a HACKER. Like it or not, that's what you are. You know technology, you are technically savvy. If you aren't a real technically savvy person but are just dabbling in it, guess what, you're still a HACKER, just the TYPE of hacker you are is a skiddie, a script kiddie, or simply for better, more positive terms, a Novice Hacker. The ones you have to look out for, and that you should be denying support for, are called Crackers. Neither Omni's site, nor mine, are Cracker websites. You want to see some Cracker forums? Here you go, take a look at these, compare them to mine, and see what the truth is. You guys seriously need to get in touch with definitions here and learn what's what. I am no Cracker, far, VERY far, from it, and using a Cracker stereotype and slapping the name "Hacker" on it is just outright offensive, and it's just wrong.

That's why my site's there in the first place. To fight this kind of crap. To give Hackers a better name. It's there to stand up against this stupid, retarded, stereotype, much like the one I just quoted.
I'm going to close this and we should be posting a response very soon.
