I wonder if they have honestly have given mybb a chance. I tried SMF 2 and found it still had many of the issues that SMF 1.x had.

I doubt they have, SMF RC2 has been in RC for months. it's been from beta to RC in 4 YEARS

The first SMF release was SMF 1.0 Beta 1a, released on 30 September 2003

MyBB RC1 was released on December 10, 2003, and was one of the first public releases of MyBB.

Yes I know 4 YEARS. The development is VERY VERY VERY VERY Slow...
