I see so many theme sites do this -- enable attachment viewing by guests! I don't wanna sign up just to see screenshots.

No one is forcing you too sign up.. Thats why I gave a direct image link for screenshot.

But what if I am a guest viewing your site and want to see the kind of things you have to offer? What you have is a teeny weeny thumbnail image and then when I click on it a message appearing telling me I have to join the forum to see a larger image.
In that situation I just close the tab and go somewhere else - and I don't think I am the only one. If you decide to make images not viewable for guests then do that - don't show a tiny thumbnail and a link to sign up when you click it. It's just annoying (IMO).
