Do you guys think that I'm capable of selling my designing services? I was thinking of opening a design company like Audentio, but I'm not sure if my designs are good enough. Can you guys rate them? I've done many more, but the other ones are way worse.

#3 was an admin control panel that I designed for a software company.

So what do you think? And what prices should I do? I'll also offer coding services for a bit extra. I want to offer them cheaper than other companies though, to get business.

And if I do open a business, I'll probably re-design some of those 8 posted above (just to make them look better), and also code them for live previews.

Opinions please!
Not sure about #2, but I do like #3 a lot. The rest are decent.

I think you do have a talent and many will pay for it, and I'm sure it will get much better as you do more work. Good luck Smile
#2 was a twist off of the vBulletin theme "Dark Futura".

But yes, not my favorite either! Toungue

Thanks. Smile
I am not a person that has seen a lot, but from my point i can't give you a 10/10, but as time passes you will get better.

I do see potential in your work, you just have to keep at it and frequent some of today's well established design portals and adsorb some of the design trends such as, elements that make a design wow to the eyes, mixture of colors being used, etc. Once you have that down you will be golden.

What would you say you are really strong in at this moment?

My strong point would be the ideas. I have killer ideas in my head, all the time. But then it's the putting it down that sometimes stumps me. Designs never look as good on Photoshop as they do in my brain! Toungue

I need to get better at that.
Not the greatest, but you definitely have some potential. An important factor to keep in mind is whether or not you can code your designs - if you can't, partner up with someone who can. There's nothing worse than a great design "ruined" (for lack of better term) because the coder can't code ._.

I think you should experiment a bit more, and with a bit of experience you'll get better.
lol, I agree nothing ever looks good once you put it down on a piece of paper or photoshop. But in my experience I've learned that the more you practice quickly putting the idea down as you build it in your mind. The easier it becomes to make it look good on paper of photoshop.

It is still one area I have a long way to go before I can say I'm good at. But pushing myself to throw the ideas down as soon as I think them up has been very helpful. Have you worked with Adobe Illustrator? I think it is one of the best tools for ideating, etc. As it is vector base the design, lines, shapes look crisp and remain like that even when you import them into Photoshop.

I only do my work with Photoshop. And yes, I can code the designs. But it would make it a lot quicker if I hired someone to work with me, but we'll see. Smile

I think I'm going to start this. Your replies were all great, the ones here, and the ones from XF.

I will be designing/coding for Wordpress, MyBB, and Xenforo (possibly vB depending on how much I'm paid).
