I'm 34. I remember having 12 channels on my tv. I'd turn a knob to the desired channel, then use a dial to fine-tune the signal (similar to analog radios).
I was on IRC and gopher by 1992. I remember how fancy Mosaic seemed. lol.
My mom was a senior in high school when her family got their first tv.
