Why is Mybb only on version 1.6 when it is only 2 years younger then phpbb, and behind 1 version on smf??????

Why are there not many mods, and did you copy off of VB?

Also, is mybb SEO, and more importantly why is the development team so small. I am a senior admin, and I have never seen such a slow development. Not to say that your software is bad. Infact it is great so far as I can tell.

Well the guy is right about one thing...

SMF released 1.1.12 (why I switched to MyBB) the admin options for what are called mods is crippled. I occasionally visit to find more and more posts about it.

I would expect soon, there will be a mass migration to MyBB. The downside of that is they will be bringing the SMF imprint on their synapsies as well.

I love she software and am definitly sticking with you guys, but what is mybb? On the about page it sais a mixture of phpbb,....,.....,....., what does mixture mean. I thought it was run 100 percent on its own software. Another introduction to mybb said that it was the free version of VB, another said that it was a mixture of VB and IPB. Which one is is?

I think what you're referring to are just end user comments and feedback.

What About page are you looking at?? It doesn't say anything about phpBB on ours. MyBB is MyBB, it doesn't actually contain anything from phpBB, vB, IPB or anything else; as AJS said, that's people's opinions on it.

But, above all ALMOST everyone loves mybb and some say VB tried to get rid of you guys, because you offered similar better software! What I can’t figure out is that every one loves your software, why are there not more consumers?

I don't think vB have actually tried to get rid of us... we're not as well known as the other softwares.
