Even restoring a backup from 10 minutes ago would be a totally unnecessary data loss. If you had just posted back that it didn't work we'd still have been able to fix this without needing to do anything with any backups.

It's no use now but for future reference, be really careful whenever reinstalling or reverting to a backup is mentioned/suggested, as it is hardly ever necessary.

Ah.. Glad you fixed it. From now on be careful from taking timely backups.

Settings permissions or something may not work all times as if you have edited some unfamiliar core files or if you have deleted anything. At such situations, only the well qualified supporting team like matt can help you, but it takes time to get resolved.

Some may give unsolicited replies which may not work. So having a recent backup can help you fix it immediately.
