This issue is now faced by Safari users on OSX Lion and iOS 6 beta. It is caused by Advanced WYSIWYG Editor not being supported on the new Safari.
this is happening to me also but one of the users who's dealing with this is using Firefox I posted about it here

My user is still expieriencing this issue after that fix, in all browsers, he tested it in FF, IE and GC all to the same result cant post/make threads
I can confirm the fix hasn't fixed it.
Any MyBB developer has solution for this? More and more people experience it in my forum. Disabling browser extensions is a temporary fix for them, however they can post with those extensions in other forum scripts. Faulty plugin example: Fast Save.
We are yet to discover a problem with credible reproduction steps. Without those steps we can't find a way to fix it.
