I use IPB for a forum and they will shut it down? I don't think they can do that so your tip is probably wrong.
I still want a convertor though.
I hate IPB.
It is possible that they will do anything, I would not buy a product from such a company, their policy has changed so much in the last few months it scares me. I do own copies of vBulletin and ubb.classic, but I don't think I will ever consider buying anything from invision
As for the 'tip', probbly false, no way they can shut down all trail boards currently running. They may change their policy and not release trail copies anymore, but I don't think they will go as far as telling everyone using a copy already released to take it offline.
Yeah, that email has apparently been doing the rounds. It had numerous threads over at
http://www.foruminsider.com.
But we aren't really here to talk about IPB..
As I have said, a converter API should hopefully be launched within the coming month to allow you to create converters easily, while MyBB will handle all of the difficult stuff..
I can't wait for the convertor. ;-)
