The_Altered1, you need the DB structure of both forums, one for the original, and mybb ones for what you want to convert to. You then have to have to write a script to convert every little details from posts (format, font face etc), polls (who, how many etc), threads (hot, sitcky, new etc), and heaps more as far as I know.
Its a big job, but I do believe Lobster, once done with phpbb2mybb converter, might be able to do this one. Someone should ask him. He seems to have done a great job on phpbb2mybb so far (although hes running late on the next release
)

It's VERY good and has alot of the features IPB & VBulletin has... Very good board.. But the Converter is needed... If theres one for phpBB then all i need is one for that, Then you can convert your IPB to phpBB then phpBB to MyBB

i doubt you lose anything.. Since you are converting right.. You shouldnt lose anything.
well, some parts will be lost along the way,
eg: If IPB has a feature myBB has but phpBB doesn't.
Which means in coverting to phpBB, the feature will be removed. See what I mean??
Indeed. However if it's only important to you that the majority of the content (i.e. the posts, members, forum structure) is migrated then a 2-step conversion isn't the end of the world if you would prefer to convert now than later. Not that i would have a biased opinion on the subject

Not likely, I'm afraid. I think Chris said that he would be making a converter based on the api he's writing, so one will come. I don't have connections with IPB like I do phpBB, and have another exciting project I want to do when I'm done. As per myBB 3rd-party stuff, I was toying with the idea of a generic mod installer, which would be more useful in my opinion. However present me with a petition of 50 signatories and my view might change
