I'm needing some groupware/colab software, has anyone used anything worthwhile? I was looking at Collabtive and it seems quite nice. Just wondering if there's anything better out there.
Collabtive is the way to go. I was searching for something like that a few months ago and couldn't find anything better.
Collabtive is the best (free) open source I have found, although it has a few bugs.

If you have the option to spend some money I would recommend activeCollab. It's great but it is not cheap.

That looks pretty nice but I've never used a colab software so don't have an opinion compared other software.

And, there is paid support just in case you ever need it(community edition is opensource).
I quite like Podio.

This looks absolutely awesome. Thanks!

Collabtive is easy to install and learn quickly.
Good for small to medium projects, IMO.

Yes it does, thanks Alex. Smile
Here is the list of features:

SaaS wise, I'm a massive fan of MS Sharepoint or, if you want to be cheap, Google Apps (Docs+Sites work really well together). Zoho Office is also attractive, and a few of our clients use this and seem to be perfectly happy.

If you're after something open-source, there are a ton of options and demos here:

My team and I used Live Groups for our final project in our A.S. program, it wasn't the best but I preferred it over the open source and paid options we looked at.
Collabtive looks similar to Freedcamp, which I just started using. Freedcamp has a better interface and a few more features, so I would suggest at least taking a look at it.
