I've just now installed the latest version. But I'm not able to install BlueVision theme.

First of all http://mods.mybb.com/themes lists the themes but how can I sort them according to ratings and downloads?

Although mybb has recommended this theme, but alas it does not come with any xml or readme file!

I've copied it where the "default" theme folder is, but I can't see this theme in the installed themes(under Templates & Style).

But it is displayed in Home->Board Settings->Control Panel Preferences (Global) .

What is the problem?

It works fine for me?
Upload the "admin" folder to your forum root.

Then go in to Dashboard and select Configuration -> Control Panel Prefernces (Global) -> BlueVision and hit "Save".

Worked fine for me as well. Did you accidentally forget a step or maybe not let the download complete?

Ok I've done the way you said. But for unregistered user nothing changed. Only for admin it is BlueVision.

BlueVision is not for the front-end of the forum, only the back-end (the Admin CP). Themes made for the back-end (Admin CP) don't work in the front-end. Similarly, themes made for the front-end don't work in the back-end (Admin CP).

You need to find another theme.

How can I know the best themes in mybb? http://mods.mybb.com/themes does not list the download statistics or ratings wise. I can't sort the list.
Where can I find those free good themes?

In the http://mods.mybb.com/stats I'm not sure how many pages I need to wade through to find only themes. Everything downloadable seems to be there.
I'd be happy if I can get a simple list of mybb themes sortable by ratings/downloads.

That's currently not possible. The mods site is old, so you're quite limited on what you can do there. I believe it is being worked on from scratch, and will have tons of new features. I don't see it coming out very soon though, perhaps when MyBB 2.0 comes out.

Meanwhile, you can sort themes in the forum, which, in my opinion, get much more exposure than on the mods site.

Wouldn’t it be too risky to use it for my production site?
How will I be able to know whether it a stable release and being recommended by mybb?
