Whenever I click
Browse Plugins and
Browse Themes on my new
forum, I get an error, saying:
"The following errors were encountered:
There was a problem communicating with the MyBB modifications server. Please try again in a few minutes."
It is just a temporary issue. Try again in a few minutes.
Either that or your host doesn't support the fetching of remote files.
My host name is Byet.. and this error is showing up from yesterday.. you sure that it's temporary?
I really hope so.
Contact your web host and ask them if they support the fetching of remote files, like Matt said, just to be sure.
I contacted my host, and they said:
"Hello,
Unfortunately this would not be supported in the sense of PHP however if you handle it through javascript you can have the client browser grab and parse the content.

Support"

Basically they're a bad host. Doing it through javascript is a rubbish idea. There are many hosts who allow fetching of remote files.
Give me the names of the good ones.
What about x10hosting? I think I will start-off with a free host.
What is "UNMETERED Disk Space & Monthly Transfer" ?
