I'm having the same problem as this guy:
http://community.mybb.com/thread-99250.html
The page numbers on my forum won't show at all when I have more than 2 pages. Please help. How do I fix it?
Also, I have the Google SEO plugin installed, if that makes any difference.
What are the contents of your showthread template?

Does this happen on a different theme?

I'm using the default MyBB theme. I only changed the css to change the background and trow1 background, etc.
I don't have any other themes installed.
You must have modified something. Plugins aren't causing this and the {$multipage} variable is in its place...
Go to Admin CP > Templates & Style > Templates > Your Template Set > Multipage Pagination Templates. If there are any templates colored in green, click on Options and select Revert to Original.

No, they haven't been changed at all.
Somebody please help me. I'm getting all worked up over this.
Did you manually modify the ./inc/functions.php file required by Google SEO? It might be possible that you unintentionally erased bits of code related to the multipage. Could you re-upload a copy of the ./inc/functions.php file from a fresh MyBB download? And while you're there, re-upload showthread.php too.
Be aware that this will cause Google SEO not to work, but you can take care of that later.
