Hi. I installed a new theme today. And rather than just click the link to go to the admin control panel, I have to manually type in the url as the Mod CP and admin CP links werent coded into the theme. Can anyone tell me which template i will need to edit and what i will need to add to it to get these to show?

Well let me introduce myself. I'll call my self a above average user of Wordpress.

The whole forum and setup is pretty new to me. I tried phpBB but it was too hot to handle for me. Tried MyBB it is useful but I find very difficult to get support here.

Two of my thread were left unanswered. A community grows by the support it renders to freshers which increases the adoption rate.

Well my requests were pretty simple. I am even willing to pay minimum fees for support. Please direct me to setup a user friendly forum.

Can I set it so you need to register or have a certain postcount to see the text in the code tags?

How can I change the filepath of the Archives link in the footer?

I've already modified every instance of the link in /archive/global.php /archive/index.php global.php and functions_archive.php

I specifically need to modify it for forumdisplay and showthread. The only thing I could find in the PHP file was:

$archive_url = build_archive_link("forum", $fid);

Hi, I'm new to MyBB, I moved over from phpBB to MyBB last version 1.6 without any problems.

But I noticed today that when my users select topics as read so it does not work, it still shows that the thread is unread.

I also tested with Firefox and Internet Explorer, and it's the same thing.
So I do not think this is a cookie problem.
There must be something else.
I would appreciate any help and advice.


Aslo I want to link to my forum but it is an adult site.
So I do not know if I still need to post the url.

Hi, I'm trying to get the Language Selector in the header area in stead of in the footer area. I tried by editing the footer/header templates and global.php, but it still doesn't work .
Does anyone know how to do this ? Thanks a lot !

I've backed-up my database, i have uploaded all the files, with a small exception: config.php

Now, when i enter /forum/install/upgrade.php or index.php, i receive this error:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forum/install/upgrade.php *nor index.php* on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Ive created an extra profile field , but ive noticed a problem in the admin panel when trying to create a new user account driectly from the admin panel.

The the newly created profile field it says "Array" and will not let the admin create the account via the admin panel, why is it not displaying the new profile fields in the admin panel?
