I'm not sure if this is a new feature in 1.6 or not, but this is pretty annoying.

For moderators, whenever they view any particular forum, they see this at the top, until the click "Clear Selection". Next time they load the page, it's back.



Anybody know how to remove this?

Hello... I'm using MyBB for the past 2 years and happy with its functionality... Just a little problem.. Nowdays a lot of people are using my forum to post ads about their products and many of them are Viagra sellers and porn sites...

Now I'm looking for a solution like in Wordpress Comments.. we can see and approve the posts and threads before they appear in the forum...

Any Mods/ Plugins for that ? any suggestions ??

This guy was an admin at my forum, but he isn't active there I thought to set him to the registered members group.
But when I clicked on save user, I got this error.

I have done my research on this and I'm not sure what my next step to fix this should be. Here is what I have tried so far:

*i have mybb ver 1.6
*PHP mail DOES work with my host (tested through the WIKI article)
*tried registering with a gmail and yahoo account both and did not get the email
*used a FROM line with the mail() function

I have read about 10 posts that people posted here in the past and I've exausted all those options. The only thing I haven't done is try the SMTP option on the board settings. If that doesn't work, am I left with contacting the host company? thanks!

How do i make it so that the Forums View count will only count once Per IP. Because all you have to do is click on the forum n it counts so people boost there views on a Forum

Okay, so i got the Cleanbuzz theme, and it's great really. There's only one problem. The content area, i.e the area where the forums and posts are shown are way too small. I checked in the css and I couldn't find a class that specified the width of the area, and I'm wondering, is there a special place to do that somewhere?

Edit: I made it work. Yet I have another problem now. I don't want the repeat on the header-bg.png but when I add no-repeat to it, it just won't show up. I have no idea why.

I've install fresh version of version 1.6 and faced quite strange bug (definitely not feature ) My test forum in in Russian lang, after making post reply with Quick Reply box my message looks like a weird hieroglyphs

       

After F5 it become OK. "Normal" reply is OK.

At the same time, this forum (I guess it under 1.6 right now??) did not have the mentioned issue. Thus, I believe, I's some thing wrong on my side. I've use Improved MySQL install, collate is utg_general_ci

I am installing a board for a friend and it installs fine with all the information. Now there is this problem when you click on the URL.
I have triple checked the configuration and it is as the install states.

Language english (/home/domains/site/www_root/inc/languages/english) is not installed

I want to install this software on a windows server for my domain but my hosting company does not allow execution for anything. will this cause the software not to work properly? in the CHMOD section of the installation instructions it says that 4 folders need 777 settings which of course is all 3 permission settings. Filezilla tells me that the command is not understood when i try to set it (it also does this with 666). Am I completely out of luck with a windows server? thanks!

When I click on New Thread button this is what it gives
