How do I fix this?

When a user registers and does not set an avatar I just get the dreaded missing image red cross (this only appears to happen on the portal page, on the forum pages the avatar just doesn't show), this is fixed when the user chooses an avatar.

How do I:

Set a default avatar for new users that haven't set their own.

This is very weird, I cant acces my own website / ftp / cPanel with my own IP but when i use a proxy I can just acces my site.
Other people can also acces my site.

My forum doesn't upload whenever open_basedir turned on:
_Attachment
_Avatar

In my case, i config: php_admin_value open_basedir /A/B/forum

How can fix this problem?

I set the cache/themes and cache and even the individual theme folders to 777, but the forum shows up without any CSS. When I try to access the .css file, like, cache/themes/theme5/style.css I get a "no permissions" error.

MyBB Version 1.6.0
PHP Version 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.10
SQL Engine MySQLi 5.0.51

Everything else is chmodded properly.

I tried importing the theme, but the result shows up css-less as ever.

1. Are MyBB forums compatible with this website builder???
2. Has anyone had any success building a MyBB forum with moonfruit?, and if so, can you provide me a link to show an example of a working one?

I can't get options to work through out the admin cp. link to forum here is a picture of what i'm talking about. I have tried on both windows xp and linux ubuntu, and with a few different browsers, firefox, chrome, opera, ie. javascript is enabled. If you need to view a certain template i can post it.

Recently my site has had an outbreak of spam, I'm suspecting (bots) have registered and they're all adding things to there signatures. I have captcha inplace, email verification and 1 IP per account, however they still get through. I then noticed that my captcha was quite an old style and I was going to change the captcha, but I forgot how. I looked all over the place. I just want to change the image verification.

Also, how do I change the colour of the PM notification?

Because, on my forum I would like to make it so users are unable to enter a DOB that would make them under 18. I was wondering what the simplest or most obvious way to do this might be? I think it's good to have birthdates, but yeah I'd like to limit them like this.

Ok, My forums got messed up really bad. So i was going to do a Database Backup. Then Restore myBB 1.6. But if i do this what would happen. Would i still have all of my Threads and stuff. What would i loose out of this
