I am not sure what you mean.
You setup a "showcase" in the ACP that the users can then add their content to. It can be a "garage" design or anything else. You get to specify what data the users can enter and the validation requirements for each item.
Once setup, you add a link to the showcase you created so users can go to it and add a new showcase record using the fields/info you designed.
You can specify moderators and mod permissions, what usergroups get to see and do, comment and comment moderation, comments have smilie and mycode support just like threads to.

I just used MyShowcase to create a simple Classifieds section for my site.
it's made me think of a few upgrades I could make with the next version (whenever that will be), but it is on my plate. Far to the back, but its there!

Hi - plugin is working great except for one small problem - I can't change the comment size (200 characters)..
Well, I can change it, but it will still only ever display 200 characters per comment. The comment entry box states that there is a 500 character limit.
Any ideas on where to begin with this?

The comment table is installed with the comment field set as varchar(200). I was not really expecting anything really over that amount as comments.
You can alter the mybb_myshowcase_comments table and change the comments field to text or smalltext

My Showcase plugin automatically re-sizes images to thumbnails of your size choice. Or are you talking about once you expand the thumbnails??

i think i fyou make the same template edits as fit on page does to showthread to the myshowcase_top template it should work. you may need to edit the plugin to add the add_hooks calls to run the MyShowcase hooks.
I'd have to look up what I called them though, unless you want to find them
